2025 Chevrolet Suburban Release Date

GM reports that the new Chevy Suburban will start production in October so we expect it to be available in the latter part of this year. The Suburban is Chevrolet in an extra-large format and it's been successfully transporting families all over the country since 1935. The newest version of the Suburban will have room for up to eight across three rows of seating, an infotainment system that can be connected to the Internet, outstanding towing and a number of available luxury features. Let's take a closer look at the new Chevy Suburban that should be arriving late this year at A. Crivelli Chevrolet in Franklin, PA.

What's new for 2025?

Chevrolet is giving the Suburban a new look on the outside and improvements on the inside. The brand's largest SUV will now have a massive new 17.7-inch infotainment system across the entire lineup. It will also come with a new 11.0-inch digital gauge display, new wheel designs of up to 24 inches, new towing-assist features and chassis upgrades that will enhance the comfort of your ride. The available Duramax® diesel inline six-cylinder engine will have more muscle with 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.

Engines and performance options

The entry-level offering is a 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower plus 383 pound-feet of torque but you can move up to a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower along with 460 pound-feet of torque. The time from zero to 60 mph in the standard 5.3-liter V8 is less than 8.0 seconds while the higher level 6.2-liter V8 can reach the same mark in just over 6.0 seconds. Chevy also offers a 3.0-liter Duramax® turbodiesel with increased output that rises to 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.

With the diesel engine Grove City and Parker PA owners can tow 8100 pounds and the 5.3-liter V8 towing tops out at 8300 pounds of towing. The Suburban offers both rear- and all-wheel drive and it can be equipped with adaptive dampers and an adjustable air suspension system. If you move up to the Z71 off-road trim you'll get 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a two-speed transfer case, four-wheel drive and underbody skid plates. The best fuel efficiency is available in the diesel model with 21 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway.

Interior highlights

The three-row Chevy Suburban is longer and has more interior room than any SUV made by Chevrolet. It has three rows that can seat a family of eight and there's seating for seven with the optional captain's chairs in the second row. The Suburban offers a generous amount of legroom for everyone, even in the third row. Second-row seats can slide back and forth to adjust the size of the passenger space. The load floor in the new Suburban is flat and low so it's easier for Oil City and Seneca, PA owners to load and unload than competitive models with higher floors.

Even entry-level Suburban models have helpful features like multiple power outlets, automatic climate control and seats in the second and third rows that are easy to fold. The High Country trim is the top of the line, giving Clarion buyers upscale amenities like premium wood trim and perforated leather upholstery.

Technology

The Chevy Suburban for 2025 will have an enormous 17.7-inch infotainment display as the star of the show and you'll also have a large 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster right in front of the driver. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come standard and so does a wireless smartphone charging pad. Available upgrades include a premium Bose stereo and a rear-seat entertainment system. We can keep you posted on the arrival date of the new 2025 Chevy Suburban and tell you how to reserve it at A. Crivelli Chevrolet in Franklin, PA.
