2025 Chevrolet Tahoe Release Date

The big Chevy Tahoe for 2025 is expected to be available later this year. This sizeable family hauler will continue to offer an abundance of interior space and it will also give you impressive towing capacity, thanks to its truck-based fame and powerful engines. The Tahoe has three rows with seating for a family of up to eight and you can keep the interior simple or make it very upscale. A big infotainment screen takes over the dashboard and smartphone connectivity comes along for the ride. Here's what we know right now about the new 2025 Chevy Tahoe that will be arriving later at A. Crivelli Chevrolet in Franklin, PA.

What's new for 2025?

The latest edition of the Tahoe gets a subtle design refresh as well as an enormous infotainment touch screen that's now a standard feature. The available diesel inline six-cylinder engine benefits from a power bump, taking it up to 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. Chevrolet has added new towing features that include one that keeps an eye on the trailer's tire health. The suspension has been enhanced to give you more comfort and air springs are now available with the RST model as well as the Z71 and High Country trims. New wheels include 24-inch options that are the biggest ever available on the Tahoe.

Trim levels

The 2025 Chevy Tahoe will give Grove City and Parker PA buyers seven trims to choose from: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier and High Country. If you like going off-road, consider the Z71 with standard four-wheel drive and exclusive off-road equipment.

Engines and performance options

The 2025 Tahoe can be equipped with a 5.3-liter V8 that delivers 355 horsepower or a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower. Rear-wheel drive comes standard in most models and all-wheel drive is an available upgrade. If you appreciate the value of extra torque, consider investing in the Duramax® turbodiesel. It's a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that you can count on for 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.

The diesel can tow 8200 pounds and has the highest standard trailering capacity of any new Tahoe model. The 5.3-liter V8 can tow a little more at up to 8400 pounds. In terms of acceleration, the 5.3-liter V8 can reach 60 mph in around 7.0 seconds and the 6.2-liter V8 can reach the same milestone in 5.9 seconds. The highest level of fuel efficiency is expected to come with the diesel, delivering about 21 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on Oil City and Seneca, PA highways.

Interior comfort and cargo

In the Chevrolet world, the Tahoe is a full-size SUV that's second only to the massive Chevy Suburban in terms of overall interior space. The Tahoe comes with three rows that have plenty of room and second-row seats that can slide back and forth to give you more seating flexibility. There's a wide center console with room for smartphones as well as a big storage bin located under the center armrest where you can fit a small backpack or a purse.

Mid-range models offer appealing features like second-row captain's chairs, a power rear liftgate and a power-adjustable steering column. If you move all the way up to the High Country model you'll be getting authentic wood trim and perforated leather upholstery. Folding down the second and third rows gives Clarion families enormous cargo space of up to 123 cubic feet.

Technology

The 2025 Chevy Tahoe comes with a huge 17.7-inch infotainment touch screen as standard equipment along with an 11.0 inch gauge cluster display. A 360-degree camera comes standard and you can add an available wireless charging pad. We'll be happy to keep you updated on the estimated arrival of the new 2025 Chevy Tahoe at A. Crivelli Chevrolet in Franklin, PA.
