What's new for 2025?
The Chevy Silverado 1500 for the 2025 model year now has a standard trailer brake controller on the LT trim and higher. The ZR2 trim comes with a standard seven-speaker Bose premium sound system along with front and rear parking sensors. The Chevy Silverado 1500 offers available 20-inch high-gloss black wheels along with new Cypress Gray and Riptide Blue Metallic exterior paint colors. Trim levels for 2025 include Work Truck, Custom, LT, RST, Custom Trail Boss, LTZ, LT Trail Boss, and High Country trim with a choice of rear- or four-wheel drive on all models except the Trail Boss, which comes exclusively with four-wheel drive.
Performance
The Silverado 1500 for 2025 offers an extensive lineup of engines including a turbocharged 4-cylinder, a pair of V8s and a 3.0-liter inline 6 cylinder Duramax® diesel. The 5.3-liter V8 generates 355 horsepower and the larger 6.2-liter V8 is muscular enough to deliver 424 horsepower. With the 2.7-liter 4-cylinder you'll be rolling with 310 horsepower and the six-cylinder turbo-diesel has an output of 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
If you're in the market for an off-road version of the half-ton Silverado, consider the Trail Boss trim with beefy tires and a 2.0-inch lift that will make it easier for you to tackle rugged terrain. The new 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 has a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds which beats the 2025 Ram 1500 by more than 2,000 pounds. The maximum payload in the new 2025 Chevy Silverado ranges from 1870 pounds to 2280 pounds.
The interior
The 2025 Chevy Silverado can be configured in a variety of ways with base models providing essentials like manually adjustable front seats, manual windows and locks. Starting at the LT trim you'll get a dashboard with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a big center touch screen. The interior of the High Country comes with open-pore wood trim and genuine leather upholstery. The Chevy Silverado 1500 is now available with a versatile multi-function tailgate that's called the MultiFlex.
Technology
Standard tech in the new 2025 Chevy Silverado includes a seven-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, automatic climate control, two USB ports and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Available features include a big 13.4-inch touch screen, a six-speaker stereo, satellite radio, wireless device charging, four extra USB ports and dual-zone automatic climate control. Other available technology in the Silverado 1500 includes proximity keyless entry, an automatically-dimming rear view mirror, a bed-view camera and two household-style power outlets.
Safety features
Standard safety features in the new 2025 Chevy Silverado include forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, a rear-view camera, lane-departure warning and automatic high-beam headlights. Available safety features include adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
